What is your teaching philosophy?

I believe that music can enrich a person’s life, develop their brain and be used as a means of self expression in the world. Music can be fun and easy to learn no matter your age! I really believe that music education and the individual can come together to spark powerful creative forces.

How long have you been teaching music?

I have been a teaching music since about 2014 as a volunteer in the Sierra Vista Unified School District. Through Project Encore AZ I have been teaching classes since 2019.




About Jen
Jen earned a Bachelor's Degree in History/Education and Russian Language from Washington & Jefferson College (PA). She served in the Army Reserves as a Russian Linguist and Intelligence Analyst. She also attained a Masters in Computer Information Systems (University of Phoenix)  and a Graduate Certificate from the University of Florida in Nonprofit Leadership Management. She is currently a student in the UF Graduate Certificate Program in Arts in Public Health. She is a community group member of Odaiko Sonora (Tucson Taiko).
